Constipation Clinical Trials

Constipation Clinical Trials

Though occasional constipation is very common, some people experience chronic constipation that can interfere with their ability to go about their daily tasks. Chronic constipation is infrequent bowel movements or difficult passage of stools that persists for several weeks or longer. Chronic constipation may also cause people to strain excessively in order to have a bowel movement.

Aventiv Research is seeking people for a clinical trial who are living with chronic constipation that would like to try something other than medication to relieve their symptoms.

To pre-qualify for this clinical trial, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be 22 years and older
  • You must be diagnosed with Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC) and have not experienced relief of your symptoms from available therapies for at least one month
  • You should have an average of 2.5 Spontaneous Bowel Movements (SBM) per week

How to Enroll

To get started, find out if you qualify by completing our online volunteer form.. If you are eligible for the study, all study-related visits, tests, and medications will be provided to you at no cost. In addition, you may be reimbursed for your time and travel expenses.
