Aventiv Research offers clinical trials in Phoenix on chronic kidney disease and anemia as well as related conditions to discover advances in medical knowledge for the condition.
According to the National Kidney Foundation, about 30% of patients with Type 1 (juvenile onset) diabetes, and 10-40% of with Type 2 (adult onset) diabetes eventually will suffer from kidney failure. Hypertension and a family history also high risk factors.
Aventiv is currently enrolling for chronic kidney disease (CKD) volunteers at our Phoenix, Arizona location. Complete the form below to sign up.
Study areas:
These research studies are for men and women 18 years of age and older with CKD. Studies will evaluate an investigational treatment for the condition. Qualifying applications may receive compensation.
People with diabetes have issues with their blood glucose (or blood sugar) that others don’t have. Their blood sugar levels are typically too high, so they often take insulin to keep it at a stable level.
The purpose of our kidneys is to clean our blood, and over time, high blood sugar levels can damage them. When kidneys are damaged, it’s more difficult for them to filter waste and fluids out of our blood. When diabetes is the culprit of kidney damage, it’s called diabetic nephropathy.
Since diabetic nephropathy can occur before any symptoms appear, people with diabetes are encouraged to have regular screenings, at least once per year, to check on the health of their kidneys.
Chronic kidney disease can also be caused by hypertension (high blood pressure) as well as disorders that cause inflammation to the kidneys.
Volunteers for our chronic and Chronic Kidney Disease study will receive:
